PROMOTION

The SCHOOL HAS TWO TERMS: April to September and October to March. There will be two summative assessments (Written Examination) for students of classes I to XII. Besides these there will be regular class tests, unit tests, group work, assignments, project work, quiz etc which are called Formative Assessment.


PRE-NURSERY TO CLASS X

  • Promotion to the next higher class will depend upon the child's overall performance which will include curricular, co-curricular and co-scholastic activities like games & sports, literary activities like debate, dramatics, elocution, recitation, dance and singing. Besides, his or her behaviour in the school, classroom response, punctuality, regularity, creativity and the like.
  • Consistent neglect of any subject will not be condoned. Those students who are absent for any of the PPT of formative & summative assessments will not be tested earlier or later.
  • Results declared at the close of the year are final in all cases and will not be reconsidered.

CLASS XI

  • In order to be declared as having passed the Class XI Examination, a student MUST obtain a minimum of 33% marks in each of the five subjects.
  • In case of subjects involving practical work, the student must obtain 33% marks in theory and 33% in practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate in order to qualify in that subject.
  • It is mandatory for a student to pass in English for promotion to the next class. If she/he scores less than 33% in English, she/he will be detained in class XI.
  • If a student scores less than 33% in one subject, it will be considered as compartment. The student will have to write the compartment exam within two weeks of declaration of the result and score above 33% for promotion to the next class.
  • If a student scores less than 33% in two or more subjects, she/he will be detained in class XI. NO REQUEST FOR PROMOTION ON CONDITIONALBASIS WILL BE ENTERTAINED. ALSO NO CHANGE OF SUBJECT WILL BE PERMITTED IN CLASS XII.
  • In case of sixth subject, it is mandatory for the student to secure 33% marks in the half yearly and the final examinations of that subject to continue with it in class XII.
